What about us makes us so special? It’s is our team. They’re each hand picked due to their passion for the outdoors, your safety and their knowledge.
Each family have been active members in their communities of Glenwood Springs, Eagle, and Vail Colorado. We have our roots in the tourism industry and outfitting guiding community. Our three families own and operate Glenwood Adventure Company, Lakota Guides, High Canyon Adventures and Colorado Rafting Adventures in Buena Vista.

In 2015 we merged these three independent outfitting companies to create one of Colorado’s leading outdoor recreational companies. We’re focused on providing customers with the quality products and personalized services that foster a love for the outdoors. We offer one of the most diverse and extensive river rafting options as well as land based programs in the Colorado Rocky Mountain Region. Family members can be seen river guiding, working the phones and driving buses.
About Colorado Rafting Adventures
Colorado Rafting Adventures is our Arkansas River Valley operations brand down in Buena Vista, CO. Our Lakota Guides brand operates in Vail and Glenwood Adventure Company is based in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
CRA provides affordable, fun, and memorable rafting adventures for families, youth groups, adults and corporate group outings. Join our professional whitewater raft guides who take you through class III rapids within the iconic Browns Canyon National Monument. If you are looking for more high adrenaline adventure, check out the Numbers section of the Arkansas River with us through class IV rapids.
Also, we provide adventures on our private ranch located within the spectacular Glenwood Canyon. Our offerings include horseback rides, ATV tours, Jeep excursions, and skeet shooting. Our Glenwood Springs operation has a 5,000 square foot river adventure/gear store. We sell rafts, stand up paddle boards, inflatable kayaks, paddle accessories, outdoor footwear and apparel. We’re focused on providing the best products and experiences so more people can safely access outdoor recreation.

This includes staying ahead of employing staff, listening to the their ideas and ensuring everyone has exactly what they need to fulfill their role.
Jim Bair
Jim Bair grew up on Bair Ranch, a 5500 acre private ranch in spectacular Glenwood Canyon. As a 3rd generation Colorado Rancher, Jim and his family, have been customizing a premier outdoor Colorado ranch experience. This premier experience includes horseback riding, ATV tours, and Jeep tours. Jim’s also a varsity basketball coach and is a towering athlete with a great passion for the outdoors, especially hunting throughout the world!
Ken Murphy
Ken Murphy, a native of Dublin, Ireland, brings experience managing operations for large outdoor activity companies in Colorado. He began his career in the outdoor industry as a river guide on the Arkansas and Colorado River. He’s one of the lucky ones that has been able to make a career of it. Ken is a sports science and business graduate from London, England. He’s is a family man that enjoys traveling around Colorado and the world in the winter time to support his college ski racing daughters.
Karl Borski
Karl Borski has been in the guiding business for over 25 years. He’s spent several years paddling in countries such as Chile, Panama, and Guatemala. Karl also lived for several years in Honduras running a raft company. He’s also a hockey coach in the winter and he has two talented college hockey playing daughters.
